The primary role of the Senior Software Engineer is to help design, build, and enhance the Titan-SV Counter-UAS system. Titan-SV systems are deployed across the globe, with a rapidly expanding footprint resulting from a technologically innovative solution that is attentive to all aspects of the user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of the software life cycle.Position Responsibilities
Apply today’s best practices in software development, leveraging cutting-edge frameworks and methodologies to produce reliable embedded software.
Contribute to the design and implementation of the next generation of Counter-UAS systems.
Identify candidates for automation in software and hardware processes and develop automated solutions.
Transform prototype embedded software and hardware into reliable production systems.
Partner with customers and end-users to implement changes that improve usability and impact.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is required
Minimum 6 years related software development experience
Experience in UI design and development with React or other modern JavaScript frameworks
Backend development experience with Java, C, or python.
Extensive Linux operating system experience, with focus on software integration, package building and deployment, and system building.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Advanced degree in computer science or related field
Experience with RESTful API design and implementation
Containerization experience with Docker/Kubernetes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated build tools
Experience with agile methodologies and able to help coordinate software development projects including scope, scheduling and resourcing

$91,000 - $129,150AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
