Job Description:
We are looking for a full time permanent Maintenance Project Planner.Reporting to the Induction Maintenance Crew Lead, The Maintenance Project Planner is responsible for the planning and coordination of aircraft maintenance activities to ensure compliance, and alignment with customer deliverables. This role focuses on reviewing and allocating maintenance tasks, maintaining visibility of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), forecasting future maintenance requirements including required tasks and parts. As well as supporting development of maintenance scope for internal teams and 3rd party maintainers.  The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, regulatory compliance requirements, planning processes, and maintenance forecasting within a dynamic aviation environment.  Specific Responsibilities:Review, prioritize, and support the allocation of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks based on customer deliverables, and maintenance program requirements and deadlines. Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and work packages for aircraft maintenance. Support in the coordination of maintenance activities between Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and external vendors. Ensure maintenance planning activities are completed in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Track maintenance progress and provide regular updates on aircraft status, schedule impacts, and critical path items. Maintain visibility and tracking of all applicable Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and regulatory compliance requirements. Identify parts, tooling, and material requirements associated with AD/SB compliance and scheduled maintenance tasks. Coordinate with Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure required parts, materials and tooling are available to support maintenance schedules. Evaluate and forecast upcoming maintenance requirements for aircraft under purchase evaluation. Assess maintenance status, upcoming inspections, component life limitations, and compliance requirements for newly acquired aircraft not yet inducted into maintenance. Support aircraft acquisition and transition activities by providing maintenance planning assessments, cost forecasting, and maintenance scope recommendations. Assist in developing long-term maintenance strategies and aircraft induction plans. Develop and provide maintenance scopes of work to third-party maintenance vendors and contractors. Support with vendor quotations, schedules, and deliverables to support aircraft maintenance programs. Monitor third-party vendor performance and ensure work scopes are completed to company and regulatory standards.  Education and Experience:                                  Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME M) license or equivalent aviation maintenance experience considered an asset. Minimum 3 years of experience in aircraft maintenance planning, aircraft maintenance operations, or heavy maintenance environments. Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs, regulatory compliance requirements, and maintenance tracking systems. Experience working with Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and maintenance forecasting. Familiarity with aircraft acquisition evaluations and maintenance planning for newly acquired aircraft is considered an asset. Experience coordinating with third-party maintenance organizations and external vendors. Excellent organizational, scheduling, and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments. Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking/planning software systems.
