Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Inspector performs detailed inspections of aircraft, components, assemblies, tools, and parts during modifications, installations, service, and overhaul to verify airworthiness, safety, and conformance to manufacturer specifications, FAA accepted and approved data, and AS9100 quality standards. This role interprets engineering drawings and regulatory procedures, applies established inspection processes, and supports maintenance activities on turbine helicopters in a Part 145 Repair Station environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections of aircraft, components, assemblies, tools, and parts during modifications, installations, service, and overhaul to determine airworthiness, safety, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Verify conformance to manufacturer specifications, FAA accepted and approved data, and AS9100 quality standards and requirements.
- Interpret and review engineering drawings, both hard copy and electronic, to confirm applicability to the work scope and ensure proper execution of maintenance and modifications.
- Review and apply engineering change orders, FAA regulatory procedures, processes, and specifications during inspection activities.
- Conduct quality inspections on turbine helicopters and related rotary wing components in a Part 145 Repair Station environment.
- Use basic measuring tools and inspection equipment accurately to validate dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality of parts and assemblies.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately, maintaining records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to address discrepancies, nonconformances, and corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Utilize SAP or similar enterprise systems to record, track, and report inspection data and quality findings.
- Apply knowledge of FAR Part 145 and related regulations to ensure all work meets regulatory compliance.
- Work independently to plan and prioritize inspection tasks while supporting team objectives and maintenance schedules.
- Support occasional travel to offsite locations as needed to perform inspections or related quality activities.
- Be available to work weekends and participate in on-call coverage as required to support operational needs.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on quality control inspection experience on turbine helicopters in a Part 145 Repair Station environment.
- At least 5 years of hands-on turbine helicopter maintenance experience.
- Experience in quality inspections for rotary wing aircraft and helicopter parts.
- Ability to interpret and check engineering drawings, both hard copy and electronic, for applicability to the work scope.
- Solid working knowledge of FAA regulations, particularly FAR Part 145 and related areas.
- Proficiency with basic measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate (license) required.
- Experience working in aerospace maintenance or repair environments.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite effectively for documentation and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally as part of the role.
- Ability to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations when needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) rating is a plus.
- AgustaWestland A109, A119, AW139, AW169, or AW189 maintenance experience is a plus.
- Weight and balance training preferred but not required.
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems.
- College degree is a plus.
- Technical writing experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards.
- Experience in rotary wing aircraft maintenance and inspection.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing aerospace environment.

Work Environment
This role is based in the back of a hangar and warehouse environment that is not climate controlled, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures and conditions. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support operational demands, including occasional weekends and on-call coverage. You will work closely with a small team of inspectors and a supervisor, fostering a collaborative, hands-on setting focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milton, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $46.00/hr.
