Head Group Internal Audit and Risk Management

Lead the development, implementation and execution of a comprehensive broad-based, group-wide Enterprise Risk Management integrating Business Sustainability and Business Continuity Management, enhancing MAG’s business performance while supporting its long-term interests and business plans, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and best practices.

• Develop, maintain and enhance enterprise risk management tools, processes, frameworks and policies.
• Support business units in identifying, assessing, monitoring, mitigating and documenting risks, ensuring consistent application of ERM methodologies.
• In Business Continuity Management, accountable for group-wide contingency planning/business continuity efforts. Establish a framework and methodology for completion of contingency plans by internal business units.Coordinates training, communication, and testing of plans.
• In Business Sustainability, accountable to create/develop/execute strategies for a group-wide sustainability vision encompassing Economic, Environmental, Social and Safety matters.
  • Implement organisational process or policy changes.
  • Develop sustainable organisational policies or practices
• Provide analytical support to BOD and senior management by interpreting risk data, trends and emerging threats, including quarterly ERM report to the ARBC.

• Degree in business, aviation or related field; MBA
• Professional Risk certifications preferred
• Minimum 15 years in risk management or related functions

Related Risk Management and/or Business Continuity management experience

1. Possesses an intimate knowledge of internal business processes and the aviation industry.
2. Exhibits business process knowledge, possesses a broad-based operational perspective and provides solutions for non-insurance related business risk issues.
3. Recognised risk leader, who is a dynamic, proactive and decisive person. Adapts well to and initiates change in the organisation.
4. Seeks ways to optimise risks in the organisation as a competitive business advantage.
5. Highly developed communications, team player, change agent, strategic and creative, excellent project management skills and the ability to drive performance from all areas within their company
