The Manager, Cabin Training is responsible for all activities related to flight attendant training, under the direction of the Senior Director, Training and Cabin Standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the Cabin Training team to ensure the successful implementation of the strategic plan and projects of the Cabin Training and Standards department
- Oversee the organization and effectiveness of day-to-day cabin crew training operations
- Ensure adequate staffing of cabin crew instructors, including recruitment, training, and scheduling
- Ensure the supervision and evaluation of instructors, consistency in training delivery, and compliance with approved training programs
- Oversee the development and review of training programs and ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational objectives
- Continuously evaluate feedback, safety/quality assurance recommendations, and performance metrics to develop initiatives to improve training programs
- Monitor training trends, best practices, and upcoming regulatory changes to ensure the ongoing, dynamic, and effective evolution of cabin training
- Be responsible for cabin training facilities, including the cabin simulator
- Manage training qualifications for cabin crew and instructors and resolve issues of non-compliance
- Ensure that cabin crew and instructor training records are kept up to date
- Liaise with stakeholders, regulators (e.g., Transport Canada), suppliers, and other departments regarding training needs and logistics
- Perform any other duties related to training and cabin standards
*A good knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec. The incumbent will be required to communicate and collaborate frequently in English, both orally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in Quebec, the rest of Canada, and internationally.
