The Hydraulic Valve Systems Europe (HVSE) is a worldwide leading manufacturer of innovative hydraulic industrial valves, manifolds, control systems and individual motion solutions which advance the performance of various applications for machine manufacturers all over the world. With operations in 9 locations in 6 different countries and more than 800 employees, HVSE operates in a dynamic matrix environment.
HVSE has 5 Business Units all over Europe. The Business Unit Hydraulic Valve Systems Europe has employees in 2 German locations – Oberndorf and Kaarst – with appr. 240 employees and sales of $ 120 m.
Oberndorf am Neckar (located close to the Black Forest) is the manufacturing location of the Business Unit with appr. 200 employees.
Position Summary
Responsibilities
Support the development and deployment of the HVSE Lean strategy aligned with the Parker Lean System (PLS) and translate strategic priorities into a structured multi-site roadmap
Lead and facilitate divisional Lean transformation initiatives and value stream projects (e.g. Localization, Core Product value stream optimization, Digitalization), including scoping, stakeholder alignment, and results tracking
Define, implement, and maintain Lean/PLS standards, methods, and training approaches to ensure consistent application across sites
Coach and develop plant teams and leaders in Lean principles and methods (e.g. Gemba, A3/PDCA, VSM, SMED, Kanban) to build sustainable internal capabilities
Plan and facilitate high-impact Kaizen workshops and ensure effective follow-up and benefit realization
Establish and drive Lean performance tracking and reporting, ensuring transparency of progress, barriers, and results to division leadership
Drive knowledge sharing, replication of proven solutions, and standardization across sites
Qualifications
Qualifications
M.Sc. / Dipl.-Ing. degree or a B.Sc. with relevant work experience in Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering or similar
Strong knowledge of Lean/PLS principles and tools with proven practical application
Experience in driving change and managing multi-site Lean/OpEx/CI programs and projects
Strong drive to implement change and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without formal authority
Solid understanding of financial drivers in a Lean/flow and throughput environment
Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, root-cause-oriented mindset
Proactive Hands-on mentality with the ability to operate effectively in production environments
Strong communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
Fluent English, additional language is a plus
