Hours: Hours: Mon – Thurs, (07:00 – 15:30), Fri (07:00 – 12:30)
Duration: Permanent
The Role:
This is an opportunity to join a busy manufacturing team producing carbon brake discs for the aerospace sector. The role involves working in a fast-paced machine shop environment with a strong focus on quality, output, and teamwork.
An experienced CNC Setter/Operator who is comfortable working in a high-volume environment and is open to developing additional skills, such as TIG welding, this role would suit you!
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role:
Setting and operating CNC and conventional machines
Working across:
Conventional 1-spindle turning machines (CNC controlled)
3-axis CNC milling machines
4-axis CNC milling machines
Ensuring parts meet engineering drawings and specifications
Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and plug gauges
Basic assembly work when required (e.g. rivets and clips)
Maintaining quality and output in a high-pressure production environment
Qualifications
Skills required:
Previous experience working in a machine shop environment
2–3 years’ experience as a CNC Setter/Operator (aerospace preferred but not essential)
Experience with setting and operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and standards
Confident using inspection and measuring equipment
